«I am in love with painting and when I compose I think of a canvas on which to add colors, so I never think in terms of notes but in terms of emotions and which I want or can express. Making music is thus a form of self-analysis that allows me to convey my contradictions in a positive way even in spite of a very problematic everyday life - it is clear to everyone ». After having crossed over the years - as a musician, arranger, composer and producer - different musical genres (rock, jazz, pop, ethnic, electronic) and having composed music to sound films, cartoons, documentaries, advertisements, multimedia events, for Gabriele Bombardini becomes natural to make a synthesis of all these experiences to elaborate a musical idea that contains all these languages. I'm walking alone is a sum of all of that. The title of the disc is a play on words because Gabriele made it alone (with the exception of “Children” composed in collaboration with Matteo Scaioli). However, it is not a hymn to individualism, he continues: «on the contrary, I hope that“ I'm walking alone ”can accompany the listener through a journey, I don't know where or what, but I hope somewhere anyway».
